The Great Smoky Mountain Murder Mystery Dinner Show may have a mouthful of a name, but it does offer an evening of entertainment that's unlike any other in Pigeon Forge. Presented as a dinner theater production, each three-act show revolves around the murder of one of the characters, and it's up to the rest of the cast-with the interactive help of audience members, of course-to piece together the clues and solve the mystery.

While dastardly deeds are at the core of the story lines, each production at Great Smoky Mountain Murder Mystery Dinner Show is a zany comedy at heart, which also happens to incorporate elements of suspense, drama and intrigue. The result is an evening of entertainment that is truly to die for. For example, the 2009 season includes "Murder on American Idle," a send-up of the popular music-based reality series, and "WhoDunit Luci," a comedic tribute to "I Love Lucy," complete with characters named Ricky Bacardi and Fred & Ethyl Hurtz.

Each show includes a dinner consisting of creamy garden blend soup, salad, green beans and mashed potatoes, corn on the cob, hot rolls, a choice of Southern-style chicken or pot roast, cheesecake and unlimited nonalcoholic beverages. Bar drinks and appetizers are available as well.

The theater is located on Teaster Lane, in the heart of the Pigeon Forge outlet mall district.
