Wet-and-Wild in the Winter

Usually, you have to travel from your Smoky Mountain accommodations to the points of interest on your vacation itinerary. In one case, however, all you have to do is take a short walk from your hotel room to get to one of the most popular new Sevierville, Tennessee attractions.

At Wilderness at the Smokies, located just off Tennessee Hwy. 66, offers two condominium-style resort lodges that are serviced by three different water parks, one of which is under an indoor dome. That means guests can enjoy all that slide and pool action 365 days a year, so packing your bathing suit this winter is definitely not out of the question. Look for a twisty slides, a wave pool, tube slides, a family raft ride and even a surfing simulation attraction.

Next year, look for the all-new Adventure Forest at the resort. Featuring a three-story ropes course, a climbing wall, laser tag course, laser maze, mini golf course and more, this indoor fun zone means even more opportunities for families to have a blast all year long.
