Making A Splash in the Smokies

You don’t need us to tell you that it’s a tad warm out there already, and it’s not even officially summer yet. And while a lot of Smoky Mountain vacationers make Dollywood a regular part of their summer routine, you might want to consider making Dollywood’s Splash Country a priority instead.

Splash Country offers acres and acres of cool, wet fun with pools, slides and attractions for every age and every thrill level. You can take it easy and just float around the park on the Downbound Float Trip lazy river ride or challenge your nerves on the dizzying Fire Tower Falls or Mountain Scream water slides.

For family fun, there are the Raging River Rapids and Big Bear Plunge family raft slides, or your littlest ones may want to chill out at The Cascades—a fun little splash-and-play area designed just for kids—or Bear Mountain Fire Tower, where the water comes down in all sorts of unique ways. Of course, in between, there’s a slide for all ages in addition to a wave pool, lots of sunning areas, concessions and more.

Whether you’re going to visit Splash Country, Dollywood or any other area attractions this summer, you’ll need a great place to stay, so visit our Pigeon Forge, Tennessee lodging options here. We have a wide range of properties that ensure the right accommodations no matter your destination, party size or budget.
